Destiny 2's Season of the Witch and Diablo 4 Gold Season of Blood Share Multiple Similarities

Despite Destiny 2's Season of the Deep solving some Lightfall issues with its consistent lore drops, morale among players is not yet on the rise after the problematic launch of the latest expansion. Still, Season of the Witch offers new content and a more diverse experience thanks to Destiny 2's new deckbuilding mechanics, and the new storyline focusing on the Hive transformations of Eris Morn also has its merits in the overarching plot.

So far, the reception of Season of the Witch seems way above average, and that could help with the upcoming launch of Destiny 2's The Final Shape expansion in February of next year. Likewise, Diablo 4's Season of Blood has a chance to right many of the wrongs that came to be with its first season, which could help the game thrive ahead of its already planned expansions. Oddly enough, Diablo 4's second season features a character with a similar name to Destiny 2's iconic Eris Morn, this time a vampire hunter named Erys, who will help players deal with the many vampires of Season of Blood.

This is most likely a coincidence, but it's interesting that both characters would use the Greek name Eris, which means "strife" and was the name of the goddess of discord - the one who, according to mythology, would go on to inadvertently start the Trojan War. Furthermore, it's worth noting that both seasons share particularly creepy themes, and both are slated to be active around the Halloween period - with Destiny 2's Festival of the Lost event also taking place in Season of the Witch. Although the games are quite different from one another, they are currently facing similar challenges and adding similar content or ways to face those very challenges.

While it's too soon to determine whether Diablo 4's Season of Blood is going to be successful, the premise is not only enticing, but it seems that Blizzard has learned a valuable lesson from its Season 4 debacle. At the same time, Destiny 2's Season of the Witch's initial success could finally cement a new beginning for the Lightfall era if Season 43 proves to be as impactful as players want it to be ahead of The Final Shape.

The Butcher in Diablo 4 has become a major challenge for players due to its random appearances, leading to many failed runs. Players have discovered various strategies to defeat The Butcher, including one that uses nearby mobs to attack it for the player. Subtle audio cues in the game's music may indicate when a big fight, possibly with The Butcher, is about to occur.

One Diablo 4 player reveals an interesting strategy for dealing with The Butcher while playing solo, using nearby mobs to provide some assistance. After appearing in nearly every game in the franchise, a fearsome sub boss known as The cheap Diablo IV Items Butcher made its return in Diablo 4, though with a terrifying twist this time around. Instead of occupying a static location, Diablo 4 turns The Butcher into a RNG monster, terrorizing unsuspecting players seemingly at random while exploring the various dungeons within the game.
